No real rules besides 0pone and 0anthro.

PROMPT #5

mlpgdraws:

Create a new OC. This one’s really open ended, so feel free to go nuts with it! Only rule is don’t draw a pre-existing OC.

You could just draw a character, but if you  really wanted to go above and beyond you could add a description, maybe even a small back story. Have fun with it!

Prompt #4: The Neverhood!

Prompt #4: The Neverhood!

That’s right, it’s starting up again:

Tanman’s magnificent super cheap commission extravaganza!

Everything except for Full Colors + Shading is only 5 dollars again! (Pricing of full shaded works will be $10 USD, however that’s still a 50% discount!)

It’s another one of those times where I’m going to be strapped for cash for a little while. Surgeries putting job hunting on the back burner, etc. The goal here is to do many, cheap, quick commissions swiftly.

Details on *s in image follow:

* Due to time constraints, full shading adds a substantial amount of time on top of the work for the base project.

** Sketches can be present either cleaned up, or a bit messy. I also offer the free watercolor-esque coloring onto them for free, as usual!

What I’m down for doing.

Ponies, obviously! As always, I’m totally down for drawing OCs, I can also try my hands at baby dragons, but I would prefer to stick to the pony area. I’m down for drawing anything so long as it’s Safe for Work.

If you’re interested, send me an ask, or send me some fan mail and we can work it out from there, if all goes well I’ll add you on skype/steam so we can remain contact for the duration of the commission!

GO MAKE TAN DRAW WEIRD STUFF FOR MONEY

Well,  we’ve been doing rather well! For this next prompt, let’s move a bit more towards ‘Halloween’ with some costumes;
PROMPT 4: Draw a pony somehow crossed over with a video game!
The prompt is due on Sunday night, but remember you can  ALWAYS submit late entries!

BLOG UPDATED

Got a shiny new theme and everything!

I also added a My Art and Coloring tag for my most recent artworks.

I’ll eventually go through and tag all my past stuff too.

PROMPT #3

mlpgdraws:

I couldn’t find a not-awful picture on short notice, but the third prompt of the month is moving a little more towards the Halloween theme! The prompt is to draw a monsterpony or a hybrid pony of your choice! They can be mixed with canon species, or something completely unrelated. Once again, submissions are due in 72 hours, so get drawing!

appledrawing said: Do you follow a tutorial for lineless art or is it all off the dome?

goattrain:

I think I saw a tutorial for it once, but I’m sure I’d never be able to find it again if I looked.

Basically, my process is as follows:

  1. sketch
  2. keep sketch on top layer
  3. on layers underneath the sketch layer, color shit in (keep separate layers for different shapes like head, facial features, mane, body, legs, and whatever else)
  4. remove sketch layer
  5. panic at how shit everything looks
  6. erase stuff/add stuff to each layer until things look about right
  7. Maybe create clipping layers if you’re gutsy enough to try shading?  I don’t do this so much - part of the appeal of lineless art is how simple it is, and too much shading works against that.  I’m sure it could look really great if you did it right, though.

This is pretty much exactly how I do it.

I really love line-less because of the simplicity in both looks and execution compared to other styles.
